10 Popular French Youtubers To Follow If You Learn French

Nicole Baptista

If you are learning French, watching YouTube can be a really great way to learn some new vocabulary and practice your listening skills. There are thousands of vloggers who make content in French about lifestyle, traveling, beauty, cuisine, entertainment and history. The options are endless.

You don’t need to only watch YouTubers who make videos about the French language. It  is important to expand your vocabulary on various different topics and this is a wonderful way to do that.

Today we have selected our 10 favorite French Youtubers who share content on different themes (beauty, entertainment, lifestyle, history etc)

All of these channels allow you the option of adding subtitles in French so that you can follow along. However, you do need an intermediate to advanced level of French to get the most out of these channels. If you are a beginner I would suggest starting with something easier like podcasts.

Here are 10 popular French YouTubers you need to check out:

1.     Marie (Marie Lopez Vlogs) - Beauty and Lifestyle

Marie is a popular French lifestyle and make up vlogger. With over 1.5 million subscribers, she makes videos about her daily life, beauty tutorials, and sometimes her travels. Recently, she has moved house so her channel has quite a few videos of tours of her new place.

This is great for picking up new vocabulary related to ‘the home’. But her videos are so diverse that you can learn new words about pretty much everything in French. All her videos come with subtitles in French.

2.     Marion Caméléon- Makeup and Beauty

Marion Caméléon is a very quirky makeup vlogger. Most of her videos are on makeup tutorials. She has a very bold makeup style as you will see from the videos. She also has some videos on themes of food (recipes) and travels. You can choose the option of French subtitles. Most of the vocabulary you can pick up on Marion’s channel will be related to makeup and beauty.

3.     FastGoodCuisine- Food

If you are a food lover, this is a really entertaining food channel. Charles runs this channel and it is full of quick easy recipes, funny videos, food challenges and comparing different McDonald’s around the world. This channel is a great way to pick up all sorts of cuisine- related vocabulary. Again, you can switch on the subtitles in French.

4.     Nota Bene - History

Any history lovers here? If so, this channel is for you. Nota Bene is a YouTube channel about lots of historical events. There are videos about the first and second world wars, myths and legends, the French Revolution and the middle ages. There are hundreds of videos where you can learn valuable historical information (all in French). Watch this channel for vocabulary related to history, war and countries/ cultures. Subtitles are in French.

5.     Natoo - Entertainment

With over 5 million subscribers, Nathalie is a comedy and entertainment vlogger. She has videos on just about every single topic possible: bed bug invasions, travels across the world, yoga (with a hint of humor) .

I find that she speaks very quickly so this channel is mainly for advanced or upper intermediate learners. What is great is that many of her videos offer subtitles in both English and French.

6.     Bruno Maltor - Travel

This channel is for all those who love traveling. This is actually one of my favorite French vloggers. Bruno has pretty much traveled the world and makes videos of the places he sees. For example he recently released a video on the top 10 least expensive destinations to visit in Europe. You can pick up vocabulary related to travel and general French. Subtitles are in French.

7.     Les Bonheures de Camille - Fashion and Lifestyle

If you are a fashion lover this YouTuber is for you. Camille vlogs about fashion and style. For example, she has videos on what to wear for every season. She has a very likable energy to her and I love that she speaks French very clearly. She also creates videos on food recipes, house deco, and how to organize your house. You can add the subtitles in French.

8.     Hervé Cuisine- Food

With almost 1.5 million followers, Hervé is a great food vlogger full of interesting recipes. He teaches you how to make desserts, meals and even has meals specifically for people with diabetes or vegetarians etc. I think he speaks quite clearly and again, you have optional subtitles in French.

9.     Coline- Lifestyle and Beauty

Colline has a very diverse YouTube channel. She creates videos on topics like skincare, makeup, being environmentally friendly, cooking and traveling.

I find her easy to understand and she has a very likable personality. You can learn lots of different French vocabulary on her channel. Subtitles in French can be added.

10.     Hugo Décrypte- Worldwide Daily News

Hugo’s YouTube channel has videos about the News. He talks about events both in France and worldwide. His channel might be a good option for you if you want to listen to the News in French but don’t have access to French TV. He has many videos about French and American politics and the war in Gaza. You will be picking up vocabulary about all sorts of topics: politics, war, environment, health. Hugo speaks quickly but you can add the subtitles in French.
