Whether you and your family are visiting Paris for a short stay, or your children are enrolled in a French school in Paris, French à la Carte offers French lessons for children and adolescents at your home in Paris. Our lessons suitable for different age groups ranging from 4 to 16.
Our French lessons for children and adolescents can be undertaken in addition to French tuition at school. For example, if your children encounter specific difficulties, or wish to progress faster.
Our lessons can also be an introduction to French if you and your children are in Paris only for a short time. We mainly teach at the student’s home but we also offer online lessons.

Frequency
Flexible: a weekly lesson (90 or 120 mins, or more if you wish).
An intensive program is also available (up to 12 hours per week).
Lesson Schedule
A flexible and personalized schedule that takes into account weekends and school holidays.
Tutor
Your children will learn French from a private tutor specialized in teaching French to children. The tutor will be a native French speaker.

Whether your children haven’t had prior exposure to French, or if they are currently enrolled in a French school in Paris, the tutor will adjust the teaching method to their level.
Between 4 to 6 years old : our teaching approach according to the children & teenager’s age
At this age, children do not usually have fully developed reading and writing skills just yet. Your private French tutor will utilize stimulating and engaging learning activities such as games, songs, videos games, and board games.
A communicative and creative approach will help give your children confidence in speaking.
Children 8 to 12 Years Old
At this stage, children are now able to utilize a range of different skills, including reading and writing in French. The lessons can be undertaken in addition to French lessons at school.
Our courses can be focused specifically on written skills, oral skills, or both, depending on the needs of your child. Generally speaking, children in this age group tend to broaden their vocabulary and use French more spontaneously.
Adolescents 12 to 16 Years Old
Your children might need help with coursework or revising for exams. For this age group, the tutor will be using semi-adult learning methods.
