I graduated from La Sorbonne, with a Master’s degree in Literature and French as a Foreign Language. My first work was as a press agent for ARTE, the Franco-German cultural TV channel. I turned to teaching French in 2010. My teaching experience has encompassed a wide range of people in many different roles; from students to high-flying executives and diplomats.

I launched French à La Carte in 2012 with a personalized teaching approach. For every student to meet his or her linguistic goals, my key words are: a tailored, efficient, flexible, and supportive approach and an enthusiastic teaching atmosphere. I like to take my the students out of their comfort zone and to challenge their linguistic skills. After 8 years and more than 400 international students, French à La Carte deserves the success it enjoys today.

I initially started working as an editor for practical books, including cooking, decoration, and DIY. Later, I left Paris for 7 years of expatriation, first in Kinshasa and then in Bangkok.

I totally understand what it feels like to adapt to a language and culture different from your own, as I have been through it myself. With a degree from a business school, a specialized master's in publishing management, and a master's in French as a Foreign Language, I have been teaching for almost ten years to diverse audiences, including business schools, engineering schools, culinary schools, as well as to artists who have relocated to France. Of course, I also provide private lessons.

Regardless of your level, I aim to help you progress in an atmosphere that is both focused and warm. If you are curious about the French language and culture, I would be delighted to introduce and share them with you.

After I graduated from La Sorbonne with a Master’s degree in French linguistics, I taught for a year at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. In 2018, I began to teach French back in Paris as a private tutor for adults and mainly for English speakers.

As someone very interested in languages and foreign cultures, I understand the challenges in learning a new language. I focus on identifying straight off your language needs, from a “useful French” type of learning (beginner level) to more specific topics at advanced level.

My approach is to create each class around what you need to learn, using study material that you will find engaging.

Above all, I believe that your confidence and satisfaction is the key to improvement, so I will always be encouraging and patient.

I come from the South-West of France and studied languages before deciding to teach French as a foreign language.  I taught for a year in Spain, then spent seven years in Australia - at the University of Adelaide - where I also did a PhD in contemporary French literature.

Today, I teach French in Paris to a mainly English-speaking public. As a lover of art and literature, I like to incorporate cultural elements into my lessons in order to help my students discover the richness of French culture. Besides, I also graduated in phonetics during my studies, and I enjoy teaching French pronunciation very much. I look forward to accompanying you in your studies.  

Travelling is at the heart of my passion for languages. Travelling through music, books, food, and the arts, across the times and around the world. French, my mother tongue, but also English, German, Latin, and Greek have allowed me to weave ties in more than thirty countries and have taught me to handle various styles of communication.

As a lawyer in international companies, I loved welcoming my colleagues to Paris and sharing with them the cultural treasures of the City of Light.

With many years of experience in teaching French, I have taught expatriate families moving to France, students preparing for competitive exams, and tourists seeking authenticity. My courses are tailored to your interests, your daily life, and your professional challenges and are dedicated to the goals chosen together. I have a Master's degree in Law and Human Resources from La Sorbonne University and I am also certified in English and pedagogy by the University of Cambridge.

Originally from Normandy, I grew up in a region steeped in history and international exchanges. Such context gave me a real interest for languages and I have therefore devoted my studies to Literature and French as a foreign language.

A master’s degree in teaching French as a foreign language allowed me to teach French to a large variety of learners from different countries ranging from Cambodia to Guatemala. I came back to France two years ago and started teaching French to English-speaking or Spanish-speaking students. I have taught a wide and varied range of students: children, adults, students, visitors, professionals and retired people.

I especially enjoy teaching French through tailor-made and personalized lessons and I always place a strong emphasis on communication. I also always do my best to combine the learner's objectives with their areas of interest.  My main goal is to make the lessons both efficient and enjoyable. I will always adjust the learning resources to your learning ability. I tend to be creative during my lessons and love adding themes related to French culture whenever possible.

Before I became a French teacher for foreigners, I wanted to be a literature teacher. During my undergraduate studies, I ended up discovering a passion for French grammar and decided to do a master's degree in teaching French as a foreign language at Sorbonne university. Today, grammar has no secrets for me, and I hope it soon won't for you either!

Since graduating, I have been teaching French at all levels, particularly to English-speaking adults. Over the past three years, I have had the opportunity to work with major companies such as L'Oréal and McKinsey. Whether they want to buy a baguette or obtain French nationality, I always accompany my students in their learning by offering them a tailor-made approach adjusted to their needs.  

Finally, as an energetic person with a good sense of humor, I always prioritize speaking skills during my classes, using a funny and interactive approach. My aim is to always put a smile on my students’ faces during my classes.

I hold two Master degrees : this first one in French As A Foreign Language and the second one in sciences of education.

I have been teaching French to adults and children in several countries (England, Lebanon, Peru..) and I am lucky enough to speak four languages - learning and teaching languages is basically my favorite activity in life !

What I most enjoy about my job is that I get to effectively help people to achieve their French linguistic goals. I have mainly worked with adults, but I have also worked with children and teenagers.

I am also a DELF-DALF examiner/scorer, and I have been teaching people whose goals are to study, work in France and even to get French nationality. I also taght to diplomats

I think learning a language should be an entertaining and rewarding experience. Following this mindset, I also develop my own teaching resources for children, to ensure they learn using an engaging and fun learning approach.

Even though my lessons are entertaining, I incorporate solid basis in grammatical structures, as the foundations of the language are extremely important when you start learning the language.

After graduating in ‘Langues Etrangères Appliquées’ from the Université of Angers, I decided to specialise in teaching French to adults foreigners, mainly in-companies. I have a wide experience in teaching at different levels and to different abilities. I like mixing traditional teaching methods with topical material and pay a particular attention to the areas of interest of each learner.

I like to place great emphasis on communication whilst believing in building a solid basis from the start and making sure that there is a balance between speaking skills, listening skills and accuracy.

Over the years, I have organised French tuition for many companies including the BBC, the Economist Intelligence Unit and Google.

I know that people learn very differently and my experience allows me to pinpoint the method which works best for each person.

My first teaching experience was after my Bachelor’s degree in Germany where I taught French to teenagers. This opportunity convinced me to enroll in a Master’s degree: French as a foreign language.

After this, I had the chance to teach at the Alliance Française in St Lucia, a small island in the Caribbean. Then, I moved to Canada. At the Alliance Française of Toronto I taught students from all over the world including children, teenagers and adults, all with different goals. I have taught general and professional French in groups, one-on-one classes, online and on-site. In addition, I am a certified examiner for the DELF and DALF exams as well as the TEF and TCF exams.

I am now back in France and have been living in Paris for almost 2 years.

I believe one-on-one classes, suitably adapted to the students’ needs and interests, are the best way to progress significantly in a foreign language. My goal is that my students feel comfortable in speaking as much as they can/want and feel like they are the core of their learning process.

After graduating from a business school, Agnès worked several years for different companies in numerous countries including Japan where she spent 9 years working as a cross cultural specialist and a French tutor for schools of languages.

She also have a Master degree in Teaching French as a foreign language For the last 15 years, she has been delivering trainings to all type of clients: from beginners ( A1) to advanced levels ( C1) in business schools, universities, Alliance Française and companies.

Living and working abroad in 5 different countries in 3 continents, she experienced several times to learn a new foreign language and will do her best to help you hit your targets: learning general French or French with specific purposes, practicing conversation, preparing an examination (DELF, DALF, TCF, etc)

Literature has always been my passion. I first graduated with a master's degree in European literature. After spending a few years dedicated to research in Arabic literature, I decided to change career and to started teaching French to foreigners.

I graduated from La Sorbonne in Paris with several degrees in Education Science and Art History, and I have been working in many countries as a university professor and a French cultural attaché. Teaching languages has always been a passion for me. I am myself bilingual. Having an English parent and a French one, I travel regularly to discover new cultures. Two of my grandparents were teachers, teaching runs in the family !

Therefore I decided to dedicate myself to teaching languages (French & English). I have always had an excellent connection with children & teenagers and the desire to share my knowledge. I have been teaching both children and adults for three years.

For my lessons, I chose to use a fun and creative approach. I pay particular attention to the areas of interest of each learner, and I personalize each lesson around the student’s linguistic goals and expectations.

I am from the South of France and after a Business School degree, I worked as a training coordinator in companies, including the headquarter of an international HR company. In 2007 I moved to the USA with my family. After two years in Tennessee, we spent four years in Michigan. There I started to teach French at the French Alliance in Detroit. These experiences were awarding and I decided to continue teaching French when I moved back to France in 2013.

I teach French to all levels to students from various backgrounds. I have a good knowledge of the American culture and of how to deal with a life abroad as a family. Getting used to a new language, to a personal and professional life in a different culture can be challenging.

 In my courses I put the emphasis on communication, vocabulary, and grammar. Pronunciation is part of my teaching resources with a method and tools I created myself. Looking forward to meeting you!

After graduating with two masters, in teaching French as a foreign language, I have been teaching French for six years to various profiles, backgrounds and ages.

As a former journalist, Cédrelle has been teaching French as a foreign language and second language for several years. If she chose Moncton and then Ottawa as her home port, she lived in Montreal for a long time, her first Canadian crush. Where it all began: the great outdoors, North American culture and hospitality. Unfamiliar with the cold and Canadian winters, far from her native Provence, she did not hesitate to trade her cicadas and summer dresses to discover the beauty of the Belle Province.

From Chile to Vietnam via Sweden and Spain, I taught French to different audiences from A1 to C1, with children, teenagers and adults, from various cultures. Holder of a master's degree in French as a foreign language, I also have a training in theater, which allowed me to conduct drama workshops in French and to use theatrical techniques in my classes.

I use a lot of authentic documents such as excerpts from movies, comics, literature or the press, with the aim of always adapting to the needs of my students. I have taught a lot with children using creative techniques around singing, puppetry, comics, drawing, (I have also been trained in this field) and theater.
